Posted 3/10/2017 10:57am by Natalie Kujala.

UPDATE: Our office will be closed on Tuesday, March 14th due to weather. Please feel free to email acctmgr@tog.coop with any questions, concerns, or orders as that will be checked throughout the day. Our staff will be back in the office on Wednesday, March 15th. Please look for Friday's availability list then. Thank you and HAPPY SNOW DAY!

HIGHLIGHTS:

CABBAGE: We are only 1 week away from St. Patrick’s Day, so stock up on your cabbage now while we still have it! We currently have both red and green cabbage from Porter Farms in New York.

YACON: This time of year I think we are all looking for a little variety in our diet, so I guess it’s the perfect time to highlight yacon! Though it looks similar to a potato, this crisp root veggie is unexpectedly sweet and refreshing, and in my opinion makes for a great addition to any salad.

DEEP PURPLE SWEET POTATOES: These colorful sweet potatoes have purple flesh that maintains its color when cooked. Spice up your mashed potato routine by mixing some of these in. Yum!

ROSEMARY: Mark Stanley of Help From Above Farm has a great supply of rosemary, both in bulk and bunched cases. Most people are familiar with this wonderful aromatic herb, but what is the most uncommon use or recipe? This could be an excellent addition to savory oatmeal.

NON-ORGANIC, ALL NATURAL LOCAL CHICKEN EGGS: AVAILABLE IN MEDIUM, LARGE AND EXTRA-LARGE, 15 DOZEN BULK.   PLEASE CALL TIM DERSTINE AT HARES VALLEY GROWERS AT 814 448 2784 FOR GREAT EGG PRICES.
